Switch from Weebly, Wix, Squarespace, GoDaddy or Duda to a better website, at the same cost.

Better design, a faster site and a real person in Lightwater looking after it, for what you already pay your website builder.

Stop wrestling with your website.

Website builders promise easy changes, but they're often fiddly to use. Small edits take far longer than they should, the design slowly loses consistency, and you're left fixing it in time you don't have. Switching relieves you of all that stress.

  • Better design

Hand-built around your business and designed to look great on every screen, from phones to big desktop monitors. I keep what you like and fix the small things that quietly cost you enquiries.

  • Better performance

Pages load quickly, especially on phones, and foundational SEO is done properly, so Google understands what you do and where you do it.

  • The same price

You pay what your current builder charges each month, and you get your own portal for requesting edits.

  • Local partner

Your money supports a local business, not a huge corporation, and you deal with one person who knows your site inside out.

Local businesses that switched.

Live in under a week. Nothing goes offline.

The process is the same whichever builder you're on. I do the work and you approve it.

  1. Step 1

A chat and a look at your site

We talk through what you like about your current site and what has been driving you mad. I note the fixes you might not know you need.

  2. Step 2

    I rebuild it from scratch

A hand-built design that keeps the good parts and fixes the rest. Your old site stays live the whole time.

  3. Step 3

    Content moved, you review

I move your words, photos and pages across, set up the SEO basics, and send you a preview link to check.

  4. Step 4

    Domain switched, site live

I point your domain at the new site. Your domain and email stay exactly where they are. Then you can cancel your old builder.

Keep paying what you pay now.

Your monthly price is whatever your current website builder charges you today. Wix, Squarespace, GoDaddy, Weebly or Duda, the cost stays the same and everything else gets better.

Sameas your current plan
  • A hand-built design, hosted and looked after
  • Foundational SEO set up properly
  • Your own portal for requesting edits
  • The whole move handled for you

Start the switch
Rory, founder of Site Switch

Hi, I'm Rory.

I'm a web developer based in Lightwater, Surrey. I started Site Switch because so many local businesses pay every month for a website builder and still have a site that lets them down.

Instead of a ticket number or a chatbot, you get someone local who knows web design and SEO.

The things people ask before switching.

Will my website go offline during the switch?

No. I build your new site alongside the old one and only switch the domain over once you have approved it. Visitors never see a gap.

What happens to my domain and email?

They stay exactly where they are, with whoever you registered them with. I just point the domain at your new site, so your email keeps working as normal.

Which website builders can you move me from?

Wix, Squarespace, GoDaddy, Weebly, Duda, and most others. The process is the same whichever one you are on.

How is my monthly price worked out?

It matches what your current website builder charges you each month, with a minimum of £10 a month. Send me your current plan and I will confirm the figure before you commit to anything.

Can I still make changes myself?

You will not need to. You get your own portal for requesting edits: tell me what you want changed and I will do it.

What if I need new pages or new content later?

Changes to your existing pages are covered by your edits portal. Brand new pages or new content are charged as and when you need them, at a very reasonable rate. If it is a quick and easy addition, I will often do it free of charge, at my discretion.

When do I cancel my old website builder?

Once the new site is live I will tell you it is safe to cancel. Check your plan first, as some builders bill yearly in advance.

Do you build online shops or booking systems?

Sometimes, but they are priced separately because every business needs something different. Get in touch and we can talk it through.

Is there a minimum term?

Yes, 12 months. After that you can stay month to month, and if you ever decide to leave, the site is yours: I will hand over everything you need to keep it running elsewhere.

Ready to switch?

Send me your current website and I'll come back with the things I'd fix, whether or not you switch.
